Phasmophobia is a video game that can be found on Steam and it is wildly popular lately! In this game, you play as a paranormal investigator with a team of up to four people, or on your own. You begin in a truck full of cameras, EMF detectors, spirit boxes, and other tools of the paranormal trade that will help you collect evidence. In addition to the evidence you’ll find to help you identify the kind of ghost you’re dealing with, you’ll also be given specific objectives to complete during your stay in either modern houses, farmhouses, an asylum, an abandoned school, or a prison. But as you and your team work, the ghosts get angry…and you’ll have to outwit them and hide well while they hunt!
This is a fun psychological horror game that shows some ghostly images, but no gore or violence. Be prepared for some jump scares and a very creepy, immersive experience that you’ll definitely want to use headphones for.
