It has taken me entirely too long to share this recipe. In fact, it probably should have been the first thing I ever posted here!
I’ve made these cinnamon rolls for several years now and they are literally the best – better than store bought or from any coffee shop or anywhere, ever! The recipe comes from AllRecipe’s Clone of a Cinnabon and while I haven’t been to a Cinnabon in probably decades, I don’t remember them anything mind-blowing – but these are! When they’re finished there is a stampede to the kitchen and for this batch, I couldn’t announce they were done until I had selected a few and taken photos of them. They go that fast!
If you decide to give these a try, make sure you scroll through the comments to find this fellow AllRecipes user’s instructions for making the cinnamon rolls without a bread machine. Despite being capable of making nice, fluffy breads at this point, I am only able to make bricks with a bread machine. Tried all the methods, tricks, and tips…still get bricks. So if you don’t have a bread machine or you’re just completely incapable of using one like me, these instructions will work perfectly for you.
From the user ANDYTAMI:
Someone wanted to know how to make this without a bread machine, here is how. Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk in a large bowl. Mix in the sugar, margarine, salt, and eggs. Add flour and mix well. Knead the dough into a large ball, using your hands dusted lightly with flour. Put in a bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place about 1 hour, or until doubled in size. Then pick up with rolling out the dough. Hope this helped!
Otherwise, I follow the ingredients and instructions as given and these have never failed me! They do take about two hours to make, so this is best kept for one of those lazy, cozy weekend mornings. 🙂
