Golden Milk Recipe

Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups almond milk or any other plant-based milk
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger freshly grated or ground
  • pinch black pepper
  • 1-2 teaspoons maple syrup, agave syrup, or honey
  • dash nutmeg and/or cardamom to taste

Method
 

  1. Gently heat the almond milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Add turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper. Whisk well to combine the spices.
  3. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Avoid boiling.
  4. Remove from heat and sweeten with maple syrup, agave syrup, or honey to your liking.
  5. Strain the golden milk if desired, and pour it into your favorite mug.
  6. Sprinkle a dash of nutmeg or cardamom on top for an extra layer of flavor.
