I don’t think we could have asked for a better day to shoot an autumn portrait session for our niece, Lexi! The weather was perfect, the overcast sky provided excellent soft light, and Lexi looked adorable as usual. We began our session with some pumpkins and other autumn props in the back yard for her to pose with (the apples were a big hit and made for a good mid-shoot snack). When she was finished with that setting (because really, at this age the toddler leads the shoot!), I loved capturing her playing with her parents, on the swing set, and running the trails. I absolutely love taking photos of kids just having fun and letting the moments come naturally! Lexi is such a cheerful little girl and I love all of her expressions! She’s always fun to spend time with and her parents are pretty cool too. 😉 We ended our session with a late lunch together for more catching up.
We love relaxed family portrait sessions with lots of outdoor play! If this sounds like fun for you too, contact me at our photo site for booking and other information. 🙂
I have to give credit where due: this super cute kiss was shot by our son! He loves taking photos too and he’s definitely upping his skills lately! I love sharing our creative projects with him.
