Tanvi and I met up again recently to photograph outfits and accessories for her blog, Tanvii.com.
I was very excited for the locations Tanvi was interested in for this shoot – she and her husband stayed at the Lord Baltimore Hotel that weekend so we worked there before heading over to the best farmers market in the area. While wandering and taking photos at the Lord Baltimore, an employee told us some interesting facts about the place (that as a local I feel like I should have known!) – it is the oldest building in Baltimore City and apparently has a history of being a haunted hotel, with stories from guests and employees contributing to the local lore. The Lord Baltimore is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, among many other points of interest in the city. It is such a pretty hotel, perfect for leisure travel as well as special events – my husband and I photographed a prom in one of the ballrooms there a few years ago. I particularly loved the colors in the event space featured in the first few photos below!
At the farmer’s market, we browsed different food and produce vendors, making a stop at Max’s Degrees, a local Baltimore business that offers a vast array of unique spice blends (the lavender Herbs De Provence is my favorite!). We bought breakfast food and treats to bring home from some of the vendors offering prepared foods, as well as flowers and produce for later. 🙂
